The state league footballers from Kirchheimer SC want to further polish their good home record with a win against TSV Murnau (Saturday, 2.30 p.m.), overtake the fourth-placed team in the rankings and then celebrate a relaxed Christmas. However, there is a lot of hard work ahead for the KSC, who recently conceded two goals each from set pieces and transition moments in the 1:4 in Unterföhring.

Kirchheim – “We can’t be so naive, especially when it comes to switching situations,” says the playing assistant coach Ricardo Jacobi, who, together with Korbinian Vollmann, represents head coach Steven Toy (vacation). Jacobi, who is currently injured, will be operated on on Monday: “The doctors have a little more to do than expected – in addition to the torn cruciate ligament and the torn meniscus, there are also the broken collateral ligaments.” Unfortunately, this means that the knee will be even more unstable afterwards and the healing process will be delayed of course.”

Andrii Hert is playing his last game for KSC for the time being

The defeat in Unterföhring was “annoying”, says Jacobi, who wants to see a reaction from the team against the bold newcomer and notice a learning effect. Whether and what changes will be made to the starting eleven from the previous week will be decided at short notice. It is clear that Denis Zabolotnyi – he had to stop the warm-up in Unterföhring due to a shoulder injury – will be out again. And Andrii Hert is playing his last game for KSC for the time being. Jacobi: “He wants to slow down, concentrate on his job and family, continue to learn German diligently.” The Ukrainian former professional Hert made his league debut on July 19, 2022 in a 3-1 win in Karlsfeld. The 30-year-old now has 60 appearances (two goals) in the Landesliga (35) and the Bayernliga (25).

Against the cheeky newcomer, captain Sebastian Zielke leads the KSC team onto the field for the second time as a record player: In eight seasons in the district league, state league and Bavarian league, he has played 191 games to date (23 goals/30 assists) – and has overtaken attacker Fabian Löns (190 games). “It feels special,” says the 27-year-old: “Especially because I was able to meet my best friends in Kirchheim. And Fabi is a Kirchheim legend!” The 2021/2022 state league season remains unforgettable for Zielke: “We had two points after eleven games and were already written off. But in the end we had such a run and such cohesion that we managed to stay in the league.” (guv)

Expected lineup: Beilhardt – Zielke, Maiberger, Lopez Guerena, Ecker – Reilhac, Karsak, Flohrs – Sako, Schmöller, Gremm
