Despite the Russian war of aggression: Ukraine remains an agricultural giant

Despite the Russian war of aggression, Ukraine exported around 67 million tons of grain and oilseeds and products made from them in the 2023/2024 marketing year. According to Vitaliy Holovnya, Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food of Ukraine, the country ranks first in the world in export of sunflower seeds, second in sunflower oil, third in rapeseed, fourth in corn, sixth in wheat and barley and eighth in soybeans.
